My Why
I wake up in the morning and say “I really love doing admin.” Don’t you?
No one loves admin. And that is why I started revenu.
For my early career years I worked in transport and logistics, for anyone who knows the industry the days are early, long, filled with calls and problems that never. stopped. coming. It was a fast business built on moving parts that couldn’t slow down, and I loved it for a while. Slowly though, the chaos and reactive design of the work got me. I’d get through one issue only to have another one waiting on hold. It felt like running a leaky ship, patching holes while taking on water.
Over time I noticed something that stuck with me. Most of the work wasn’t about solving big problems; it was about clearing the small ones that got in the way. The same jobs, over and over, because no one had time to fix the root of the problem. I’ve always had that itch, when a system feels clunky, I can’t leave it alone. I’ll pull it apart until it makes sense again. I like finding what’s already working, showing a bit of consistency, and building from there.
When COVID hit, everything cracked open. Drivers weren’t showing up, schedules collapsed, and phones went unanswered. The whole industry felt like it was running on fumes, as did I. It amplified how fragile the systems were, but more than that how much energy was lost to inefficiency. Most businesses aren’t broken, they were buried under inefficient processes. People were too busy doing the work to fix the way the work got done.
That gave me a lot of clarity - all the tinkering I’d been doing in the background with automation was a clear solution but I just had to implement it. When I moved to a more sales oriented role I set up automations that took my unique approach to sales and did it for me, I didn’t see much success until during a conference I got a response message from a large retailer. All it took was the right timing and my automation had landed me a big client. It didn’t feel like marketing because it was my approach with strategic timing.
“You don’t need to chase people when you show up at the right moment.”
This was an accelerator. I had proof-of concept and so I kept going. Building small automations, testing out ideas on my own and seeing how far I could push them. Missed-call texts, follow-ups, booking links. Everyone’s first instinct is to feel afraid of automation because it might replace them - what if we designed it to help you do more of what you love instead? That’s the revenu mindset.
My wife runs her own hairdressing and extensions business so naturally she became my first test case. I built her a few tools to take care of instagram messages. Instead of taking calls she automated her booking system, improved how many people showed up to appointments and started clarifying her marketing. Within weeks, her bookings doubled. Reviews started coming in too steadily and consistently, two or three a week. She was finally able to focus on the work she loved instead of chasing people and doing admin.
Automation didn’t have to feel robotic. It could actually make her processes more human. It gave people back their time, and it made customers feel looked after, even when no one was at the desk.
From there, it grew naturally. I started helping mates with their businesses. Different trades, same pattern. They were brilliant at their craft but overwhelmed by the admin that came with it. Once the systems were in place, they could focus again and work to full capacity. You could see the difference straight away; these business owners could take a step back from the grind and even started enjoying their work more.
revenu didn’t start as a business idea. It started with my curiosity and never-ending challenge to make systems better. Now I partner with businesses to build systems that work. I can’t ignore the cracks. If something’s off, I’ll find it and fix it. That’s why revenu works. It’s become this ecosystem that connects everything for my clients; from enquiry to booking to review; so the business keeps moving consistently no matter how busy they get.
“Majority businesses have the same issues regardless who it is. Even if it’s a tradie or a professional, just different focus.”
So instead of a generic CRM you download and never use, you get a system that integrates with everything you do… why? I help you build processes and automations that reflect how you do business so you can do more of what you love and less of what you don’t.
Everything I build comes back to that same goal: helping people get back control of their time and energy.
And if you’re wondering, yeah, I still put pressure on myself to get things done fast. That’s what drives the success I deliver for my clients. And the part I love most? Watching it all come together, when people step out of the chaos and realise the system’s working for them now, not against them.
That’s what keeps me building.
