Pipedrive vs revenu: sales pipeline CRM or complete follow-up system?
8 July 2026 · by Adam Pilakis, founder of revenu

Quick summary
Choose Pipedrive if your main issue is sales pipeline visibility: tracking deals, keeping a sales team organised, and seeing where every opportunity sits. Choose revenu if the deals never make it to the pipeline in the first place: missed calls, unanswered enquiries, no follow-up, and a website, bookings, SMS, AI and reviews that all need connecting.
- Pipedrive is a sales CRM built by salespeople, with the cleanest pipeline view in the category and 400+ integrations
- revenu is a full business system: enquiry capture, AI receptionist, missed call text-back, CRM, bookings, follow-up, reviews and reactivation, built into your business
- Pipedrive prices per seat, roughly $14 to $79 USD per seat per month on annual billing, with key features gated by tier and add-ons billed on top
- revenu is a flat $599 + GST a month in AUD, with the build done for you
- Fair warning: for a sales team that already has leads flowing, Pipedrive is a genuinely good buy. This article says exactly when
Your business might not need more software. It might need fewer leaks.
If you're comparing Pipedrive and revenu, you're really asking two different questions. Pipedrive answers "where are my deals?" revenu answers "why aren't there more deals in there?" Both are fair questions. This is the honest guide to which one your business is actually asking.

02 — Credit where it's due
What Pipedrive does well
Pipedrive was built by salespeople, and it shows. Most CRMs are designed for managers; Pipedrive was designed for the rep dragging a deal card to the next stage, and it has arguably the cleanest, fastest pipeline view in the category. Minimal training, clear stages, and that clever nudge that forces a next step on every deal so nothing sits idle.
The rest holds up too. Email sync and workflow automation from the mid tiers, solid reporting on activities, conversions and deal velocity, forecasting higher up, AI features on the newer plans, a reliable mobile app for field sales, and more than 400 integrations. One thing worth knowing if you've looked before: in late 2025 Pipedrive renamed its plans, so Essential, Advanced, Professional and Enterprise became Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate. Same product family, new labels.
If you're a sales-led team with a fairly linear pipeline and leads already arriving, Pipedrive is one of the smartest ways to get organised. Genuinely.
03 — The honest limits
Where Pipedrive may not be enough
Start with how the bill actually builds. The headline seat price looks clean, roughly $14 to $79 USD per seat per month on annual billing as at July 2026, but the features most teams need sit up the ladder: automation from the second tier, AI and lead tools higher again. Then come the add-ons, lead capture, web visitor tracking, campaigns and docs, each billed on top, and reviewers on G2 describe the result bluntly as a nickel-and-dime structure. A five-person team wanting CRM plus automation plus lead capture is a long way from the advertised entry price. There's no free plan, just a 14-day trial.
Second, some limits are shared, not per person. Automations, for instance, pool at the company level on the mid tier, so a growing team can find themselves rationing workflow slots.
And third, the category limit, the big one. Pipedrive starts working when a deal enters the pipeline. Everything before that moment is your problem: the call that rings out while you're on the tools, the web enquiry that waits until someone logs in, the DM at 9pm, the quote from three weeks ago that nobody chased. A deal board, however beautiful, only shows you the leads that survived long enough to be typed in.
None of that makes Pipedrive bad software. It's the edge of the category. A sales CRM organises the deals you've captured. It was never built to capture them.
04 — The other side
Where revenu is different
revenu starts where the pipeline can't: at the moment the enquiry happens. The phone ringing out, the form submission, the DM, the missed call at 4:55pm on a Friday.
One login covers the whole connected stack: enquiry capture from your website and socials, missed call text-back, an AI employee answering calls and messages in seconds, CRM and pipeline (yes, revenu has the deal board too), bookings and payments, SMS and email follow-up, database reactivation, review requests, your website and funnels, and reporting. The framework behind the build is the rhythm: plug the holes first, then turn the tap on.
And nobody hands you a settings menu. I build the system with you, around your process: live after the first 45-minute session, fully built over three sessions inside 14 days, with the build valued at $3,000 to $5,000 included, then support and a monthly showcase call as part of the price.
The one-line version
Pipedrive tracks the deals you've got. revenu catches the ones you're losing.
the leak is upstream of the pipelineHere's the pattern I see constantly: a business switches CRMs hoping the pipeline will grow, then discovers the new system manages the same thin pipeline more elegantly. The problem was never the deal board. It was the missed call that became someone else's job, the enquiry that got answered a day late, the 400 past clients nobody's spoken to since last winter. Fix those and any pipeline looks healthier. That upstream fix is the whole point of revenu.
05 — The money
Pipedrive pricing vs revenu pricing in Australia
Pipedrive, as listed at July 2026 in USD: four plans (Lite, Growth, Premium, Ultimate) running roughly $14 to $79 per seat per month on annual billing, with monthly billing higher, up to around $99 a seat at the top. Add-ons like lead capture and web visitor tracking bill on top, and features like automation, AI and lead scoring gate by tier, so most teams get pushed up the ladder by a feature rather than choosing it. Check Pipedrive's pricing page for current rates, because the plans were renamed and repriced in late 2025 and can change again.
revenu is $599 + GST a month, flat, in Australian dollars, plus a $500 build fee up front (waived when a current client refers you). That includes the full build, an AI employee trained on how you work, your website or funnel, ongoing support and the monthly showcase call. Month to month, no lock-ins. Usage costs apply for calls, SMS, email and AI activity, with live usage pricing in AUD here, and there's an unlimited AI option to keep AI costs predictable.
For a solo operator tracking a handful of deals, Pipedrive's entry tier is cheaper, no argument. For a team that needs the CRM plus automation plus lead capture plus someone to build and run it all, the per-seat ladder and add-ons close the gap fast, and revenu's number includes the parts Pipedrive doesn't sell at any tier: the AI answering your phone, and me.
06 — The decision
Choose Pipedrive if, choose revenu if
Choose Pipedrive if: you run a sales-led team with leads already flowing, deals move through a fairly linear pipeline, your sellers live in email and meetings rather than on the phone with the public, and pipeline visibility is genuinely the bottleneck.
Choose revenu if: your leads arrive by phone, web forms and DMs and too many die before anyone responds, follow-up relies on memory, your old client database sits untouched, and you want one flat AUD price for a system that catches, converts and books, built with you rather than left to you.
07 — Final verdict
The verdict
If you need a sales pipeline CRM, choose Pipedrive. It's the best pure deal board in the category, and for teams whose bottleneck is genuinely visibility, it earns its seats.
If the honest answer is that your pipeline is thin because enquiries leak before they're ever typed in, then a better deal board just organises the leak. That upstream problem is exactly what revenu is built for. Comparing the wider CRM aisle? The HubSpot and Zoho CRM comparisons cover the platform and budget ends of the same decision. And for all-in-one automation platforms, the Keap vs revenu comparison is the closest fight of the lot.
08 — FAQs
Pipedrive vs revenu FAQs
Is Pipedrive better than revenu?
They do different jobs. Pipedrive is a better pure sales CRM: the pipeline view is the cleanest in the category and sales teams adopt it fast. revenu is a full business system that catches the enquiries before they reach any pipeline: missed call text-back, AI response, follow-up, bookings, reviews and reactivation. Pick by where your bottleneck actually is.
How much does Pipedrive cost?
As listed at July 2026 in USD, Pipedrive runs four plans, Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate, from roughly $14 to $79 per seat per month on annual billing, with monthly billing higher. Add-ons like lead capture and web visitor tracking bill on top, and there's no free plan, just a 14-day trial. Check Pipedrive's pricing page for current rates.
Does Pipedrive have a free plan?
No. Pipedrive offers a 14-day free trial on every tier but no permanent free plan. If a free CRM matters, HubSpot's free tier and Zoho CRM's free edition for up to three users are the usual starting points, though both share the same category limit: a CRM records deals, it doesn't answer your phone or chase your quotes.
What is the best Pipedrive alternative in Australia?
Depends on the problem. For a cheaper per-seat CRM, Zoho undercuts it; for a bigger platform, HubSpot. But if the real issue is upstream of the pipeline, missed calls, slow enquiry response, no follow-up, no reactivation, the alternative isn't another CRM, it's a connected business system like revenu, priced flat in AUD with the build included.
Does revenu replace Pipedrive?
For most small service businesses, yes. revenu includes the CRM and deal pipeline alongside everything Pipedrive leaves to add-ons and integrations: AI answering calls and messages, missed call text-back, bookings, payments, review requests and database reactivation, in one login. We map your current pipeline before moving anything across.
What is the difference between a sales CRM and business automation?
A sales CRM organises deals that already exist: stages, values, next steps. Business automation makes the moments around them happen: answering the missed call in seconds, replying to the 9pm enquiry, chasing the quote, requesting the review, waking the old database. If your deals are captured but messy, get a CRM. If they're leaking before capture, you need the system.

Not a demo, and not a pitch. We'll look at where your enquiries come from, how many make it into any pipeline at all, where follow-up falls over, and whether revenu actually makes sense. If Pipedrive is genuinely all your sales team needs, I'll tell you that too.
